Welcome to Transatlantic Transitions!

Hi there, thanks for stopping by!

I’m Cailean, a 27 year old who relocated from the U.K. to Canada in 2023 to live with my girlfriend. Whilst the last couple of years have been an exciting and an awesome experience, there are difficulties that come with being far from ‘home’.

This blog will highlight the good and the bad, and hopefully give some useful advice to those moving abroad and more specifically Canada. To search through recent posts, click here. I hope you can find some tips that I wish I had when I was moving!

I am currently in Canada on a 2 year IEC Working Holiday Visa from the U.K. and have a 12 month ‘extension’ from a successful application for an extra year. More on this in a later post!

Please do feel free to send me any questions you may have, I’m more than happy to talk through my experiences.
